Black Tracks

I went to Leicester for the weekend! I had a wonderful time, good food, movies, shopping, laughs, and just plain good company. As some people are approaching the big 3-0! Not me yet whew! *wipes sweat off of forehead* We were reminiscing on the days when we used to party every weekend, could eat whatever we wanted, and were on the 'scene' i.e. our: Prime-time. Now we go to baby showers, lounges, music concerts, weddings, house parties, plays, cookouts, bridal showers, and etc....levels have changed! Our definition of fun has evolved a bit.

NonMonogram

I have wanted to purchase a nice leather non monogram bag for the longest, but I never really saw one that tickled my fancy and was just a timeless bag (okay I lied I saw a Prada one last year but I was being cheap and when I went back to buy it, it was gone!). Something classic that will last for years and years. When I saw this bag in Zara, alarms went off in my head like AG this is the bag you want! I have forgotten about all my other bags for the time being have been wearing it like crazy!

Cold Nights

I spent the weekend in Bradford; I had a nice and eventful time!!! I must honestly say that I miss this city a bit. If you would have asked me three years ago that I would have said this, I would have laughed and looked at you like you were crazy. Nonetheless, Bradford has played an important role in my life and will be a place that I'll never forget. I'll be back in three months....Meanwhile thanks to everyone who fed me ridiculously, the long and intellectual talks, and drinks for days... Love you guys!

Orange Affair

Green is my favorite color. However, lately there is something about the color orange that continually catches my eye. A simple color crush or an everlasting love, I have yet to know. I'm currently having an affair with Orange. I hope my favorite color doesn't become green with envy.

These Primark shoes are a pair of heels that I was SURPRISED to spot. They didn't look horribly cheap and the quality was okay. (In fact, I've spotted several pair that Primark don't look so bad. Kudos to Primark aka Primani) I searched for these bad boys for several weeks to get my size.

This weekend I learned a lot life lessons that I have learned before all over again. I relearned that when people aren't happy with themselves and where they are in life they'll try to make your life a living hell. But at the end of the day your happiness is in your hands and no one else's. 

I am happy that I am tall, I am happy that I am Black, I am happy that I am Nigerian, I am happy that God has blessed me with talents, a beautiful family, and a bright future. Thus no matter how unhappy you are with yourself and your life that's your own personal problem. Because you may have believed that you got the best of me, but at the end of the day it is you who is bitter, and unhappy and goes to sleep when a chip on your shoulder *shrugs* but such is life. That's when I blackout and ignore the tomfoolery around me.

Shiny Things

I have been addicted to shiny things for awhile now and this season has tickled my fancy in ways I never imagined! Sequins, Glittter, I am in LOVE! I have been collecting vintage sequin jackets, tops, and dresses for almost 6 years now. When it comes to my favorite designer in regards to shiny + chic peices Balmain wins HANDS DOWN!
