Spending 'Freeze'

I am supposed to be on a spending freeze, but find myself in town and going to stores! I will definitely need to calm down now. I'm currently in Edinburgh, trying to escape the London Olympics hysteria, and loving it, except the weather. It rains one minute then the next the sun is shining like, 'hey guys.' I just don't get it. This place is definitely not Ferragamo and Chanel Flat friendly.

Here are a couple of things I have bought in the past week:

Zara Leather Jacket
Zara Linen Jacket
Zara Studded Penny Loafer
Zara Mustache Loafer
Zara Emerald Statement Necklace
Topshop Pink Metallic Clutch
Asos Peplum Top

What have you bought lately, was it impulse or planned? In Short, I'm trying my best to stay away from Zara as you can see it is my kyptonite right now!

Thank YOU!

Hey everybody. I apologize for the lack of blogging lately. I was moving from the north (Bradford) to London, job hunting, downsizing and prepping for graduation! I am finally finished with higher education!! After 9.5 long years of education I have a Chemistry and Pharmacy Degree under my belt! To God be ALL the glory. I am literally about to sleep and wake up tomorrow to do last minute errands for my graduation. The most ironic thing is that I just noticed I have gotten the SAME EXACT hair style for my graduation from Pharmacy School that I did when I was graduating from Howard with a BS in Chemistry five years ago. Now that's crazy!

I just wanted to take this moment to say I appreciate every single follower, commenter, and supporter of the Zelda + Festus blog. You guys make me strive to get better and better with each day, and to you I say THANK YOU!!! To all my fellow bloggers you guys are an inspiration and continue to spread your creativity + originality!!

Sunshine Blazer

I found this Green Vintage Marks + Spencer's Blazer a few years ago. I also have it in Black (I've won it several times on the blog). However, I tend to always remove shoulder pads from blouses and blazers, they are a bit too bulky for my liking, as I already have an okay shoulder structure, thus the shoulder pads aren't needed.

I'm so Happy Federer + Serena WON!!! #wimbeldon

Vacation Dreaming

As my accomplishments are being set in stone, I am itching to travel somewhere and just relax, a well deserved trip before I start working. I wanted to go home to the states, plan a road trip to visit friends and family but last minute decided against it. I'm now thinking, where am I going to go to unwind??? Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Geneva....? I don't know. Apart of me wants to go back to Greece. Santorini, Greece mainly. It was breath taking. Words cannot describe how beautiful Santorini is. I can go to the states anytime I want, as it's home for me. Right now I just want to enjoy as much as of the Eastern Hemisphere as I possibly can. Here are some pictures of when I went to Greece about 2 summers ago.

MySpace: The Room

I officially have two weeks to sell all of my furniture, downsize some more and pack out of Bradford for my move to London. I have no idea where to start, but in the end I should be okay, right?!?! Right! My favorite part of the flat is: my room. I previously had a enormous glass door wardrobe, that I was IN LOVE with but sadly, it couldn't fit in my flat. Thus, I opted for an open plan for the clothes and items I wear the most. Everything else is stored in Vintage trunks, additional shoes under my bed + additional clothing in my dressers... Just thought I'd show a couple of photos before I move out!
Photos of Family, Friends + Loved Ones

I display the bulk of my jewelry that I wear often in vintage glass pieces. Everything else is stored in my dressers. i.e. big bangles, massive hoops, and other necklaces.
I know, I should have a better way of arranging my bags + clutches. I wanted to put shelves on top of my open clothes rails, to make it look somewhat like a boutique, but didn't think it was worth messing with the walls for a mere six months (not to mention I want my bond back!!!).
Thus this messy but somewhat organized display, works for me.

Off to start packing!
