I got a lot of good feedback from the last Ebay tips post I gave regarding Ebay Stores. I think I'll continue to post a list of my favorite stores weekly, or whenever I find a new site/store that tickles my fancy. I mean we all in one way or the other are on a quest to be a little different.  You don't have to spend an arm and a leg to look fabulous, although at times it does help! Nonetheless you can get those unique and high end fashion labels: boots, dresses, and accessories on the web for nearly half the price.

The Ebay Store of the week is Room 1420. They have a lovely selection of shoes going at the moment, and a return policy so you can return items if you don't like them! I was tempted to buy the: Senso Diffusion Delilah Cheetah Ankle Boots, but thought, Ag you have enough, you don't need these. Trying to get into the habit of buying only buy what I really need or really, really, want! This means I am dreaming about it at night or can't stop thinking about it. Vintage Granny

The weather in West Yorkshire continues to be so beautiful. My mother came to visit me this week and as soon as she saw me at the station she told me that my dress is too short, (trust me it wasn't) I then wore this linen Banana Republic dress and she said this one is too long! Something at the knees is fine. My Fiance then said I looked like a Granny in this Banana Republic Dress, I was like really, no I don't!?! I love this dress!

Honestly, I don't really go with the trends of lengths for skirts and dresses. I wear what I like. Whether it be Maxi, 'Short', or Mid Length I love them all. Everyone will always have an opinion about what you wear and how you wear something. I have opinions too! But at the end of the day dress for yourself, just look nice and well put together. Oh Lord, I am turning into my mother!! (Smile)

I love accessories and with the arrival of spring, one accessory you cannot live without are sunglasses.  I always like having unique and/or vintage pairs. If the sunglasses Stand Out or have a unique aesthetic I'm sold! Here are a couple of sunglasses I am digging at the moment.

Studded Glory

I am one week closer to going home! You'll probably get tired of me longing to be on the other side of the ocean but trust me if you were in my shoes you'd understand, I need a break! One good thing is the weather in Bradford has been beautiful! Today was lovely lovely lovely!!!

You've probably noticed I've been wearing black a lot lately, and trust me it's not on purpose. I just haven't been able to play with my clothes as much as I'd like to, due to my weight increasing in the last year or so. Thus my clothes don't fit like they used to! I'm on a mission to be able to fit into my old clothes, I get sad looking at some of my lovely pieces that are just collecting dust. I'm a few steps closer to that goal, thus sorry for overloading you guys with black, but trust me it won't be for much longer.

Homecoming

I'm going home in a few weeks to begin to plan one of the biggest events of my life. And I can't wait! Besides planning I will get to see my friends and family that I miss so much! 

I miss the big roads, I miss driving, I miss my house, I miss my room, I miss gisting with my Father about everything under the sun, I miss my Aunty Pat who will be home in Yankee as well, I miss my Cousins, I miss the food ie: Chiptole, Negril (HU Students and Alumni get me here), and my mother's cooking, I miss thrifting, I miss Loemann's and Neiman Marcus, I miss Georgetown, I miss Ice Cream Sandwiches, I miss Harlem and the IHOP across the street from my ACE's house. I miss being spoiled rotten when I visit! (Insert smile) Trust me I could go on for days... but most importantly I miss the free-ness of America. It just makes me happy....

Whenever I buy a new item, whether it be a bag, a pair of jeans, a jacket, shoes or a dress, I tend to wear them all the time, and when I get tired of them I bury them somewhere in my room. Then one day when I am rushing for a meeting, lectures, or Mass my hands are looking for the easiest outfit to put together in 5 minutes. Hassle free and no need to iron any thing. This is one of those outfits. I forgot about these Nine West Leopard Peep Toe heels and this Zara Jacket that I have not worn in months.

This video is the best take I've seen on Things Nigerian Parents say. I could relate to my mother saying you will not disgrace me! I did not disgrace my mother you will not disgrace me, and how Nigerian Parents only want A's!, the education confusion of not mixing books and boys, then they mysteriously want you to have a boyfriend when you graduate and etc... 

I, then  randomly saw this video on you tube "Nigerian Boy Class Presentation", with one of my teens from Martha's Table where I used to work in Washington D.C. some years back! I was proud and it made me laugh, so hard!!! How many Nigerian Americans can relate to this?

Ebay Tips Part I

I love fashion and what I love even more is paying nearly half price something on Ebay, and finding unique pieces i.e. vintage and sample sizes!! *Insert smile*. 

Here are a couple tips you may find helpful on Ebay:

1. Have a couple of favorite sellers and save them,
2. Know what you want to look for and save those searches.
3. Know your size for that designer and/or check measurements.

• Vintage in the UK tends to run one size smaller.
• Vintage in the States tends to be true to size for the most part
• When in doubt ask the seller if they can give you bust, hip and length measurements if not already stated.

Green Addict

I love the color green, I have always loved it. When I shop, or go for a walks my eyes are drawn to things that are green and vibrant. Green is a rich and sensual color. The more I research the color green and it's various meanings, the more I realize why I love the color. 

Green is the color of nature, fertility, and life. Grass green is the most restful color. Green symbolizes self-respect and well being. Green is the color of balance. It also means learning, growth and harmony. Green is a safe color, if you don't know what color to use anywhere use green. Green is favored by well balanced people. It often symbolizes money. You should eat raw green foods for good health.

Sometimes things we like innately tell us a lot about our character without knowing it. Look up the meaning of some of your favorite colors, and see if they correlate to your personality... I am in love with Green, it truly is the color of my life!
