Sunny Sneakers

Yesterday, Daks and I met up and surprisingly we both wore sneakers, not planned at all. I rocked my Miu Miu Glitter Sneakers and She wore her Gucci High Top Sneakers. The weather was lovely I can say I have loved the amount of sunshine Britain has seen this summer! I love hanging out with Daks she helps me with my 'shopping addiction.' She's a lovely person inside-outside!!!!

Dress: Zelda + Festus SS11, Sneakers: Miu Miu, Shades: Vintage, Bag: Zara

Love your dress. With pockets, too! Nice. And I like your friend, Dak's, Gucci sneakers.

I'm just amazed how we're wearing ankara (albeit, modernized) as our everyday look. This would not have been the case 5+ years ago (amongst Naija folks). I remember I bought this Old Navy ankara-ish dress and wore it to my cousin's grad. My Mom said I look like a housegirl. LOL! Now? She loves the trend. I tend to always remind her what she said that fateful day almost 7 years ago.

@Lufunto- I am still in the process of getting rid of items. It's sooo hard! LOL~ but definitely doing that this week so it should be up shortly. and you know DAKS! Does Dougie, she is a great person!!

@Vivi- girl I have been rocking ankara and loved it since Seton, and I didn't care what anyone said! I still have skirts from high school and will be rocking them shoot. well once I slim back into them! I'll be rocking them when the 'trend' is over as well. it's my culture and apart of my style innit? how are you btw?
