Grey Skies

Sorry for the last of post this week thus far. I have been working hard and wedding planning has been taking up a lot of my time. I hope you haven't noticed too much!

I wore this outfit on Sunday. I was running a bit late again and had to throw something on in a jiffy. I initially wanted to wear my vintage yellow trench coat (mac coat for UK readers). However, it was really grey and cold outside, thus I had to throw on a coat. No complaints this time, as it actually worked out fine. I guess it's time to invest in a nice quality Spring coat.

I have two high street weaknesses: COS + & Other Stories. It's not wonder both are under Sweden-based Hennes & Mauritz (H&M). & Other Stories Shoes are a mixture of classic, chic and unique. They also have a large array of nice Nike designs for tomboys like me. 

I'm absolutely drooling over these shoes! The double strap leather pumps remind me of Valentinos'.

Construction Days

The weather in Edinburgh has been amazing lately. It may not be as warm as I'd like; however, the sunshine is just what I need. I love The City Center in Edinburgh with it's great scenery and bubbly vibes. With the Trams coming up soon, I know it will be even more busy + accessible. Like Nice, France in the Summer!

This weekend I went through my closet to find 'old favorites.' I have loads of shoes and I want to downsize, if you follow me in instagram or twitter you know I need to. Nonetheless, I remember buying these grey heeled sandals from COS last year. The first day of the sale, I literally ran to Reagent Street to buy them before work, and almost a year later I have never wore them, story of my life. My feet look a little chunky in them but I'll ignore it, don't laugh!!!

I seem to always wear the same shoes all the time, so I'm trying to rotate, and downsize my shoes as well. (I'll be getting rid of a couple of pairs to make room in my closet). If you wear a size 41 UK 8 USA 10 watch this space.

Keyshia Cole and Steve Madden Collaboration

When it comes to an outfit, shoes can make or break one's outfit. Which is why I am for the most part a fan of classic timeless shoes that I can wear season after after. However, I make exceptions every now and then, and Keyshia Cole's 2nd collaboration with Steve Madden is one of those times. The funky infusion of metallics, bright colors and prints is exceptional.

Purple Kisses

I rediscovered this Zara botton down back blouse in my closet during Sunday's clothing tornado before church, and I forgot how much I love it. I really wish I would have purchased it in another color 2 years ago when I bought it. I opted to keep my outfit simple while buying supplies, only piling on rings and bracelets.

I hopped on the bus to enter the city and look for supplies yesterday, for my current orders and projects I am working on. Sadly, I have yet to learn how to drive in the UK, these roads are beyond tiny!!! How on earth do people drive here? I am going to learn soon; however, I am a little apprehensive about the laws and driving on the other side of the road. For example, a driver can run a red light in the states and just pay a ticket; in the UK points are added to your license. Oh how I long to drive again in the States this summer, with the sunroof down listening music after leaving happy hour, Friday Nights in the City. Yes, great times are ahead!

You can never say no to a piece that is funky, creative, and speaks for itself. This Boom clutch from Primark is just that, not to mention it only cost a mere £4. An accessory that is fun, cheap and comical...I'll take two please.

Pump it Up

This spring it's all about coloured and printed pumps. Designers have opted to give the classic pump a toned down make over by infusing various colours and prints to the timeless pump. Coloured pumps are an easy addition to any already chic outfit. One can wear a dark outfit then add a printed and/or coloured shoe to make the outfit spark. Toning down all other accessories and leaving the focus of the outfit on the shoe.

Henry Holland AW14

Henry Holland is known for his colourful, vibrant, funky and eclectic designs. His AW14 collection was no exception. The collection is full of sequins, faux fur and beautiful prints. What grasped my attention immediately, were the pompom heels that came in a vast array of various hues and giant pearl embellished heels.

I have to have a pair of those Pompom heels...patiently waiting for the summer or early fall when they will be released. (Bazaar 14)
